Description
Here’s an easy, simple way to achieve consistent, repeatable alignment in your gel printing projects using this 3D-printed registration guide, designed specifically for standard European two-hole punched paper.
The guide provides a fixed corner reference and two registration pins that work with pre-punched paper, allowing you to position your sheets accurately for every print layer. Whether you’re building complex multi-layer prints, adding details in successive passes, or experimenting with masks and stencils, this registration guide helps keep everything aligned.
Works with a standard office hole punch – no special tabs or accessories required.
No proprietary tabs, carriers, or extra accessories are needed. Punch your paper, drop it onto the registration pins, and get consistent alignment every time. Editioning prints, building multi-layer images, and creating stencils has never been easier.
The integrated tabs allow the guide to be securely taped to your work surface, creating a stable registration system that stays in place throughout your printing session.

Although this guide has been designed specifically for gel plate printing, it is equally useful for relief printing techniques. By building your lino block or woodcut up to a total height of approximately 9mm, you can use the same registration system to achieve accurate, repeatable alignment across multiple colours and layers. This makes it ideal for editioning prints, reducing registration errors, and experimenting with more complex designs.
Designed and made in the UK by Lee Devonish for Community Studios CIC, this registration guide has been developed by a practising printmaker to provide a simple, affordable, and reliable alternative to more complicated registration systems.
